How to wash your garment like a pro

The fabric has been prewashed before cutting, so it wouldn't shrink any further.  Wash either by hand or in the washing machine on a delicate cycle.  The recommended temperature is 40ºC for most of the linen fabrics we use, but check your care label to be sure.

Fast spinning can crease the fabric, so hang your garment to dry while still damp for a natural, softly rumpled look.  You can avoid pegmarks by drying on a good coat hanger.  NZ sun is strong so dry in shade to avoid fading.

If you want to iron for a smoother finish, do it before the fabric is completely dry for best results.  Linen tolerates high heat and steam very well, but I use an ironing cloth over seams and edges to prevent shine.
